Narberth Ambulance opens in new window understands a little care can go a long way. The nonprofit emergency medical services organization responds to 911 calls across a suburban area outside Philadelphia, serving 150,000 people over 50 square miles. Its team responds to more than 16,000 calls a year.
Ambulance rides and emergency situations are stressful for most people but can be especially scary for children. That’s why the Narberth Ambulance team keeps tangle puzzles close by. The promotional fidget toys are given to ambulance patients as well as passengers ages 3 and older to help put them at ease. The gesture is often an icebreaker and provides comfort and stimulation—allowing medics to keep their focus on patient care.
